Mike is a medical student at Stony Brook University School of Medicine, Class of 2018, and a graduate from Georgetown University in 2014 with a BS in Human Science. He has an interest in hematology/oncology and a background in cancer basic science research. Through this research, he has experience in testing potential cancer therapeutics, and is interested in evaluating the treatment options for Castleman disease. Mike will be working predominantly to launch the registry and build up the database in order to disseminate information on the disease to those battling and treating MCD, as well as to other rare disease groups. Mike is excited to be on the front line of research on a disease that is not well characterized, and to work with a larger group such as the CDCN that is committed to making meaningful discoveries that can directly impact patient outcomes. He is also looking forward to helping to raise awareness and spread the word on advances being made in MCD research.
