Michael is an MD/PhD student currently doing his PhD in Joel Hirschhorn's lab at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard Medical School/Broad Institute.  His research involves using genetics to unravel the causes underlying rare endocrine disorders and performing functional studies to study genes associated with diabetes and human growth.  He is excited to bring his expertise in performing genetic studies to Castleman disease, where the underlying causes are largely unknown and where genetics can be particularly illuminating.  He greatly enjoys working with the highly motivated and engaging team at CDCN.
